I know, an update every day. What’s going on?

Another afternoon in the garage today and I managed to get the rear end broken down almost all the way – I was stopped by, yet again, the large pivot bolts. This time it’s the ones that go through the rear wishbones and attach them to the diff – I may attack the whole lot with the grinder again tomorrow to make myself feel better.

Anyway, the rear hubs, hub carriers and soforth are off and on the bench. Unfortunately the handbrake cables were seized in so I’ll have to buy new cables. According to Haynes I have to send the whole lot off – carrier, hub and all – to be rebuilt by a specialist because you need special tools to get it all apart. I think that means the ABS reluctor ring wasn’t really supposed to fall off in my hand on one side, then…
