Ok, the title is a lie – I didn’t for a minute think I’d be done within a year, but I’m quite ashamed at the lack of progress I’ve made over the last 11 months or so. I certainly thought I’d be further along than I am..

I have no excuses, aside from a new lady in my life, but I’m really hoping to get back to working in the garage over the (cold!) winter months – especially as said new lady is moving in and has a burning desire to spend time in the garage building things. Yep, you read that right.. she wants to get oily. Anyway, moving on before Kev requests pictures..

 

The only thing I’ve done since the last post is WaxOyl the bare chassis. Oh, and most of the driveway underneath it (quick trip to Halfords for a pressure washer sorted that out!). At least it’s (mostly) better protected from the elements now and there’s less risk of an imperfection in the powder coat starting the rust propagating.

On the other hand, it does mean that every time I work on it I’m likely to end up covered in WaxOyl – especially where Mark applied it about three feet thick.. I’m not sure it’s dried everywhere yet and we did it three weeks ago!

 

Onward and upward.. after a little more hiatus for a trip to Paris and to the Classic Motor Show at the NEC.
