Not exactly specifically a Cobra-related update this time but since the garage is looking so tidy now, I feel the need to share some pictures..

I went out to the garage on Sunday morning with the aim of working on the M3 rather than the Cobra, but became quickly rather frustrated by the sheer amount of crap stuff everywhere, getting in the way and generally stopping me from getting any work done – all I really wanted to do was pull the Cobra body & chassis out onto the driveway, pull the M3 into the middle of the garage and get the back end up in the air to see why the brakes have gained a noticeable squeal since the track day at Rockingham but alas, there was so much stuff in front of, beside, behind and generally around the body trestle that moving it seemed like a gargantuan task.

Enter Amy, with her game face on … several hours later and the garage is looking considerably more tidy (and clean) and although all the same stuff is in there it’s organised an awful lot better. I still really need that workshop to move the lathe and storage out into, but at least I can pull the Cobra out and work on the M3 and vice versa now!

Oh, yes, and we lined all the front & rear hubs up on the workbench ready to try and box them up for Wards very soon..

So here’s the nice tidy garage complete with a few boxes of stuff that my parents are storing with me while they move house and a 390 FE sitting in the corner (there’s a 428 in the other corner!):

I’m going to have to replace the rearmost cupboard soon though, I think, as the garage’s internal micro-climate made the roof rain on it – and it’s starting to sag rather a lot!

And on the workbench, all my front & rear hubs:

And now, a few shots showing the state of the front & rear hubs & carriers – hopefully they’ll come back shiny and pretty!
